The programme of events accompanying the 2025 edition of Premju E.L. Delivered by Robert Galea-Naudi, the great-great-grandson of Emanuele Luigi Galizia, this talk offers a personal perspective on one of Malta’s most influential architects. Moving beyond his public achievements and monumental architectural legacy, the presentation draws on family anecdotes and oral history to reveal the human figure behind the works. The session examines Galizia’s personal character, daily life, and professional ethos, offering a nuanced reflection on how his enduring contribution to the local built environment intersects with his life as a private individual.
On Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October 2026, the finalists for Premju E.L. Galizia 2026 will present their submissions live to the jury panel and public audience at Teatru Manoel, Valletta. The two-day presentations offer direct insight into standout contemporary projects across Malta, examining how current design practices address material craft, contextual responsibility, sustainability, and the evolving role of the professions within the field, with the sessions remaining open to professionals, students, and the interested public.
