Application Package

Each submission must include:

  • A completed online form
  • A fully completed Project Team Details Excel file (also reflected in the Jury Slide Deck)
  • Jury Slide Deck and Media Files, shared via a non-expiring cloud link (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox)
  • Proof of payment (PDF format, max 2MB) issued by your bank—either from an online portal or physical branch

A template folder structure is provided and includes:

  • One Excel template for all Core Categories and the Unbuilt Projects Award
  • One Excel template for the Emerging Practice Award

Full Project Team Details

Core Categories & Unbuilt Projects Award

Awards are given to the project and thus to the entire project team. All predefined roles must be filled in both the ELGA26_ProjectTeam.xlsx sheet and included in the Jury Slide Deck as an organigram.

If a role was not required, indicate “Not Required.”

If one individual fulfilled multiple roles, list them accordingly. One studio/partnership representative may be listed per role.

Emerging Practice Award

The Emerging Practice Award is an award to the entire team behind the practice and its body of work. The aim is to demonstrate the make-up and capacity of the practice, not its external networks.

Roles shall be listed as defined internally and must be filled in both the ELGA26_EmergingPractice.xlsx sheet and included in the Jury Slide Deck as an organigram.

President's Student Medals

Submissions for the President’s Student Medals may be submitted by one student or, in the case of work produced by a team of students, by the entire team involved. In every case it is encouraged that the details of the Project Supervisor are also included. 

The above details shall be included in both the ELGA26_StudentMedal.xlsx sheet and the Jury Slide Deck.

Core Categories & Unbuilt Projects Award

Prepare a slide deck for Jury review, structured as follows:

  1. Project Title and Location
  2. Executive Summary
  3. Project Organigram

  5. Architectural and Technical Drawings
  6. 3D Visualisations of Proposed Project
  7. Photographs of Completed Project

Slide Deck Technical Requirements:

  • Slide dimensions must be 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high
  • No video content is permitted
  • File must be submitted in PDF format only

Emerging Practice

Prepare a slide deck for Jury review, structured as follows:

  1. Practice Name, Profile & Key Personnel Overview
  2. Design Philosophy & Ethos
  3. Practice Organigram and Team Structure
  4. Portfolio Overview
  5. Featured Project Case Studies
  6. Impact Statement, Innovation, & Future Practice Vision

Slide Deck Technical Requirements:

  • Slide dimensions must be 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high
  • No video content is permitted
  • File must be submitted in PDF format only

President's Student Medals

Prepare a slide deck for Jury review, structured as follows:

  1. Project Title, Student(s) Name
  2. Institution & Course Details, Project Supervisor
  3. Executive Summary & Project/Work Rationale
  4. Design Concept & Sustainability Strategy (Social & Environmental)
  5. Architectural / Civil Engineering Technical Drawings & Details
  6. 3D Visualisations & Physical / Digital Models
  7. Spatial / Structural Analysis & Contextual Integration
 

Slide Deck Technical Requirements:

  • Slide dimensions must be 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high
  • No video content is permitted
  • File must be submitted in PDF format only

Media & Publication Files

Prepare the below material in the format described below and separated in folders accordingly

  • Executive Summary (Word format, max 500 words)
  • Project Images (4–10, 600 DPI, PNG/JPEG)
  • Visuals/Drawings (max 10, 600 DPI, PNG/JPEG)
  • All filenames must include credit details

For Emerging Practice Award submissions, the required media files must represent the practice as a whole.

Submission

Submit via www.premjugalizia.org/submit by no later than 18th September 2026 at 2359hrs

Finality Clause

No changes will be accepted after the deadline. False declarations or non-compliance will result in disqualification. Jury decisions are final.

Fees & Payment

The fee structure for awards is as follows:

  • Core & Special Categories: €200 per entry / category
  • President’s Student Medals: €25 per entry
  • Role Model Categories: No fee
  • President’s Award: No fee / No submissions accepted

Payment must be made exclusively via bank transfer, and all fees are non-refundable.

Submissions for the Role Model Awards—the Leadership Award and Lifetime Achievement Award—are free of charge.

Terms & Requirements

Definitions

“Premju Emanuele Luigi Galizia” may also appear as: Emanuele Luigi Galizia Awards, E L Galizia Awards, ELGA, Premju E L Galizia, or Premju Galizia. These names are used interchangeably.

“Organising Commitee” means the joint committee established by Kamra tal-Periti and the Planning Authority, which includes the Artistic Director, to organise Premju Emanuele Luigi Galizia 2026.

Agreements to Terms

By submitting a project and completing payment, applicants confirm they have read, understood, and unconditionally agree to these Terms & Requirements.

Scope of Agreement

All terms, requirements, conditions, rules, and procedures published on premjugalizia.org, including the Privacy Policy found at premjugalizia.org/privacy or communicated by the organising committee via email, social media, or other platforms, are considered binding.

Use of Image and Likeness

Applicants agree to be photographed or filmed during any Premju Galizia events. The Organising Committee may use this content to promote Premju Galizia in any format and medium.

Use of Submitted Material

By submitting, applicants grant the Organising Committee, Kamra tal-Periti and the Planning Authority, an exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and store all materials for activities related to Premju Galizia and Kamra tal-Periti.

Representation

The Organising Committee commits to presenting all applicants and their work in a respectful and positive manner.

Intellectual Property

Submitters confirm that all material is accurate, properly credited, and rights-cleared.

The Organising Committee may use submitted content across its media channels.

Submissions must not infringe third-party rights.

The Organising Committee, Kamra tal-Periti, the Planning Authority and the Artistic Director, including their administrators, employees, directors, subcontractors, and agents, are not liable for any third-party claims.

Submitters shall fully indemnify all involved parties against any such claims or related expenses.

Data Protection

All personal data will be handled in compliance with GDPR and relevant data protection laws. Data will be used solely for purposes directly related to Premju Galizia and the operations of the parties involved in the Organising Committee.

Final Authority and Revisions

The Organising Committee, and the Jury retain final decision-making authority on all matters related to the awards. Their decisions are final and not subject to appeal. The Organising Committee reserves the right to revise these Terms & Requirements at any time without prior notice or any entitlement to compensation.

Third-Party Consent

Applicants confirm they have obtained all necessary permissions from third parties whose personal data or material is included in their submission. Applicants remain solely responsible for all such content.

Conduct and Confidentiality

Applicants agree not to publish or disclose news of their submission prior to official release by Kamra tal-Periti. Any disagreements with the Organising Committee, Kamra tal-Periti, the Planning Authority, the Artistic Director, or the Jury must remain private and will not be made public under any form. Applicants shall not contact any member of the Jury during the adjudication period and until winners are announced at the awards night. Breach of any of the above may result in disqualification without right of appeal. The Organising Committee’s decision will be final.
