For 20 years (1990-2010) he was project architect in the atelier of Mario Botta, having the responsibility of over 200 international projects worldwide. He opened his own atelier in the year 2000. The ethos of the studio is one of ‘drawing from context’ which promotes dialogue between the specificity of the project and the universality of its context. His work has been published and awarded in Switzerland, as well as abroad.

Selected realised projects include the WAP ART Foundation mixed use gallery and apartment in Gangnam Seoul, South Korea; the new Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, Israel; 5* Hotel and SPA facilities in Greece; the headquarters Jansen AG in Oberriet, Switzerland; a Private Museum in Jeju South Korea; a Sino-Swiss centre in Tianjing China; several houses and housing in Switzerland and abroad; master planning, furniture design and consultation for contemporary art for clients. Simonetta Cenci
is a partner and the Managing Director of the Ateliers Alfonso Femia, international architecture studio in Genoa, Milan and Paris. She is responsible for the coordination of the Atelier’s various project activities and competitions. For the last five years, she has been the Deputy of the city of Genoa (Italy) for the town planning.
Isabel Van Haute
is a Flemish Belgian architect and founding partner of Coldefy, overseeing general management and artistic direction of the studio. Her winning entry together with Thomas Coldefy for the Hong Kong Design Institute, completed in 2011, brought the firm international exposure. She believes in the importance of the human scale experience for every project, and her attention to detail in all aspects of design of architecture, exterior and interior spaces brings a richness and diversity which can be found throughout all Coldefy projects.

Prior to Coldefy, she worked for renown architecture offices in Paris and New York, and her international experience and culture promotes a dynamic and diverse team environment. Isabel gives numerous lectures, and the work of Coldefy is the subject of publications and exhibitions both in France and internationally. She was the first-prize winner of the Student’s Belgian Glass Award 2001, as well as the 2018 Perspective’s 40 under 40 award winner. Isabel holds a degree in architecture at Saint-Luc School of Architecture in Ghent and is a registered architect in Belgium.
Giuseppe Farris
was born in Italy, in 1972. He founded Studio Farris Architects (SFA), in Antwerp, in 2008. The practice obtained its first international recognition in 2010, with the refurbishment of de Loketten – the Brussels Counter Room of the Flemish Parliament. SFA has designed a wide range of projects, from small-scale private houses and offices to highly recognised public facilities, such as the extension of the City Library in Bruges and the master plan and extension of the Antwerp Zoo.

Since the founding of the studio, SFA has been responsible for myriad projects, that do not possess any singular aesthetic signature or characteristic; what connects these diverse projects is not a style, but rather, its opposite – a pragmatic approach that eschews preconception and departs from the critical interrogation of a brief, to uncover the potential of each project. Awards received include: the USA Design Vanguard; two NL Arc16; USA Architizer A+; German Design and DE Iconic. The work of SFA has been published widely and internationally by: Domus, Detail, Monocle, A+U, Entremuros, Arq and Architectural Record, amongst others.
Thomas Coldefy
is a founding partner of Coldefy – an international architecture and town planning agency based in Lille, Paris and Shanghai. After working with renowned international agencies in London, New York and Paris, Thomas Coldefy and Isabel Van Haute founded the Coldefy agency, in 2006, which they co-manage today. In the same year, they won the Hong Kong Design Institute international competition. They imagine a new pragmatism, where social and sensory experiences, the dynamics of the individual and that of the community, circulation and the programme, influence form.

With achievements and international projects underway, Coldefy is now involved in public and private projects of all scales that cover several areas of activity: education, culture, sport, housing, commerce and urban planning. Finesse, monumentality, urbanity and attention to detail comprise some of the signatures of the agency, which stands out for its dynamism and creativity, that is nevertheless reliant on sustainable and innovative practices, in line with the environmental challenges of today and of tomorrow. In 2022, in recognition of the work, commitment, and contribution of the agency to the artistic influence of France, the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, appointed Thomas Coldefy to the rank of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

In 2023, Coldefy won, together with Carlo Ratti Associati – the architectural competition for the France Pavilion at the Osaka 2025 World Expo.
